Our mountain base camp is located just 3 kilometers from the M20 main road (Sarajevo – Trebinje), in Tjentište, Foča municipality. Situated on the route to Maglić Mountain, Trnovačko Lake, and Primeval Forest Perućica, this is the most attractive trail within Sutjeska National Park – ideal for nature lovers, hikers, and campers looking for unforgettable adventures.

Camping and cabins

Campground offers camping spots and parking places for camper vans and tents, with access to electricity outlets and drinking water supply. We also provide cozy, mountain-style cabins with stunning views, ideal for guests looking for more comfort.

Each cabin includes:

  • Electrical outlet

  • Interior lighting

  • Clean and fresh bed sheets

Guests have access to clean outdoor restrooms, available to all visitors throughout their stay, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable accommodation and camping experience in Tjentište the heart of Sutjeska National Park.

On-site Restaurant & Local Cuisine

 

Nestled in the heart of the mountains, our restaurant offers an authentic mountain-style ambiance, with rustic wooden furnishings and a cozy fireplace. From the dining area, guests enjoy awe-inspiring views of the Zelengora and Volujak mountains.

We serve traditional meals made with organic ingredients from local farms and gardens on the slopes surrounding us. Dishes are prepared following recipes that are characteristic of the Sutjeska region.

Breakfast includes:

  • Homemade bread

  • Cheese

  • Sour cream (kajmak)

  • Ham and eggs

Our specialties include:

  • Veal with vegetables

  • Homemade soups and fresh salads

  • Barbecue for lunch and dinner

We also serve coffee, tea, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including homemade brandy and fine Herzegovinian wines. Guests are invited to relax next to the fireplace and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere.

We had a really good time here. Not a lot of bells and whistles, just the most necessary things, homemade with a lot of love.
The operators were super welcoming and helpful.
Above all, I thought it was great that things were so honest and warm here.
The atmosphere was great but the food was even better. Simple, but so delicious!
All ingredients are regional and local.
We found it absurdly delicious, but the chef assured us his only secret was the right amount of salt. So it must have been the ingredients.

We'll definitely be back!

Great experience and super professional. Canyoning in hrcavka river was beautiful.
They know the sutjeska national park perfectly and give super nice advice to go hiking and do other activities in the region.

Beautiful brand new campground nestled in the mountains above Tjentište. Freshly built and super clean facilities. There is a beautiful wooden cabin - restaurant with the most amazing views of the mountain range where they serve great locally sourced food and cold beer. Branko and his team are legends and very good at what they do, they took us canyoning in nearby Hrčavka canyon and we had an amazing time. They also gave us some great tips for hiking routes for the next day. At the end we extended our stay, the location of the campground could not be better for exploring the stunning Sutjeska national park! Book any activity with those guys and I can guarantee you'll have a great time in one of the most beautiful national parks Europe has to offer!

Branco (one of the owners and guides) is a really cool guide, and our experience was awesome too. He's really talkative and ready to explain just about anything if you're interested. The canyoning tour we took was beautiful and exciting at the same time. Took a short 2 hours for us. Definitely worth it, recommended!

We went on the rafting trip with Outdoor Tara and it was 10/10 fantastic! They not only helped us arrange accommodation at the nicest rafting camp with great food the night before but also took us on a wonderful and exciting rafting trip. We loved the small group tour and on our trip it was just my family of 5 on one raft, which was super important. We were also able to leave early to avoid the rush on the river and everything was so flexible. We felt well taken care of the whole time.

Cherry on top was the awesome videos taken from the GoPro that we got for free after the rafting trip!
